What are soft skills and why do we need them?
Soft skills are the skills that we use to communicate, influence, and get along with other people. In the past they’ve been devalued, but without soft skills, people can’t get other people to work with them. They’re crucial for young adults going out into the world to have, but they have to be taught intentionally. Some kids can pick up some soft skills just by watching good examples, but most kids need to be talked through learning and using them. That’s what we’re here for–to teach you how to teach your kids the soft skills they’ll need to be able to get along with other people and be successful in work and life.
